The question we get most is what the heck is You42? 

The short answer is, You42 is a resource for creators. Our mission is to provide a one-stop destination for artists, musicians and creators who want to simplify the process of creating content and reaching their fans. Our platform features video content (web series, films, music videos, etc), music, podcasts and more from content creators. With You42, you can host all of your work in one single place and set your own prices to monetize your work.

The next question, obviously, is how do you plan on doing that? 

We started by building our own platform. Launched in 2018, You42 is a site where creators can upload multi-media in support of their brand.  This versatility, combined with a robust set of social features, gives creators the freedom to share their content with fans — no matter the medium — and connect and collaborate with other creators. 

Next, we worked with artists to produce original content, like the comedy series Pretty Funny and the horror anthology Dead by Midnight (11PM Central). Through this process, we got a firsthand look at the challenges faced by independent artists. This experience informed our strategy and gave us insight into how we can improve the lives of creators and help them on their path to success. 

Now, we’re developing tools that will help creators improve and distribute their content. We’ve also partnered with Stripe to give our users a way to monetize their work. With monetization on the You42 platform, there’s no waiting period, no amount of views, likes or followers you need to gain in order to monetize your work.
